Urgent Update

Please update your church admin plugin to the latest version 0.5968 ASAP
Previous versions have created a plugin database backup in case of problems, with a message to download and delete it.

message

Someone kindly pointed out a number of sites where the backup hadn’t been deleted by the user. That means personal data can be downloaded by people who know where it is.

V0.5968 deletes the file if it exists and then recreates the backup with a very hard to guess filename.
It’s always worth downloading and then deleting the file, so no personal data is accessible.

  1. Hi,
May I first thank you for your wonderful WordPress Church Admin plugin, it definitely is a wonderful resource for the ministry. May the Lord continue to bless and increase you on all front, Amen.

1). I do need your help or some instructions in setting this up properly.
I get the error message you listed above, however can not locate an upgrade

2). Secondly on the members directory page, there is another error message pasted below, I am sure this might be a very small matter but would appreciate if you can point me in the right direction.

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘GROUP BY household_id ORDER BY last_name ASC’ at line 1]
SELECT household_id FROM wp15cr_church_admin_people WHERE GROUP BY household_id ORDER BY last_name ASC

Thank you and I look forward to your response.

    Sincerely
    Rebecca.

    1. I’ve had a look at your site – you are on the latest version 0.724
      1) The post you are commenting on doesn’t mention an error! You can delete curch admin plugin database backups in the meta box with the title “Church Admin Backup”
      2) It looks like you haven’t specified which member types to show (I really must make the plugin default to “Member” so that area doesn’t show.
      Use a shortcode [church_admin type=address-list member_type_id=1] to fix that
If you have set up different member levels you can show more than one by separating them with a comma
      for example [church_admin type=address-list member_type_id=1,2,3]

The “Shortcode” meta box on the church admin menu page shows you all the shortcodes and member types you can use.
