New time, new venue

The first time I drove under the South Gate, I felt God speak to me clearly “Call it The Gateway – it will be a gateway for the Gospel to go to the nations”. I had been driving to a prayer meeting to see if God would speak to me about moving here to plant a church! We moved, knowing that we had 11 with us. Nearly two years on we are gathering over fifty and momentum is growing.

We have outgrown Greyfriars School so in September we will be moving to Springwood High School 6th form centre, which is over double the size.

When we first started we met at 4pm, because most of our core group hadn’t moved and an afternoon meeting doesn’t have to be quite so polished. Now that we are moving venue and are pretty much established in town we will be moving to a morning meeting – 10am. We announced the changes last night and I was excited by the positive comments and faith filled prayers.

Here’s the plan…

  • Sun 6th Sept 4pm Last meeting at Greyfiars
  • Sun 13th, 20th Sept “Practice” Sundays10am Springwood High School
  • Sun 27th Sept 10am Official Launch Service!
To publicise the move we are hosting a “Hit the Streets” day of evangelism training, Chinese buffet and giving out balloons and leaflets and doing questionnaires in the town centre and leafletting every home. It will be on Sat 19th Sept. We are expecting well over 50 to come and help from all over East Anglia – find out more and book online

We are also going to be celebrating our Sunday morning launch with a Ceilidh and Hog Roast – Sat 26th Sept 6.30-9.30pm. Tickets are £6 adults and £3 under 16s.

We are really excited about our Sunday morning launch and looking forward to more growth and more salvations this coming year!
