I’ve long extolled the benefits of advertising with Google Adwords –  a google search for “Church Kings Lynn” always put us at the top in the sponsored bit and cost between 12p and 18p a click.

That’s us top right! I set the minimum budget of £30 month – last month the advert was shown 1200 times and 12 people clicked it. That’s not bad for a town of 45,000. a bigger town wil have more people searching!

You may have noticed the map with some search results next to it. We weren’t there and it’s free! D’oh

www.google.com/places is where to sign up – go on do it now! I’ve got myself a 084 local rate number as I’m a bit tired of the occasional drunk ringing up at 2am. I use http://www.0870receptionist.co.uk/ who have been great. Google places will publicise your number, so it may be wise.
