Some blogs get a lot of comments. And those comments need to be moderated. Some of those WordPress comments are just way too long. There hasn’t been an effective comment word limiter that works with guest comments from user who don’t have an account. Until now!
The “Comment Wordlimit” plugin allows you to set word limits for registered users and a global word limit. It shows the commenter how many words they have left, copes with pasted text and also block comments that are too long at the server if need be.
It is very lightweight, simple to use, and easy to setup.

Here is an example of a comment on the page, which is set to 75 words.
You can set the world limit globally to whatever you like in Dashboard>Settings>Comments Word Limiter.
You can also adjust each user account to have a different word limit if you like.
The plugin will stop people typing once they have reached their word limit.
