A client had spotted my Plumbers reminders plugin and got in touch to improve what they were offering to garages to remind customers to book in for the annual MOT test.
He’d been using an email to sms service from one of the SMS gateway providers, but wanted a better way of doing it!
The first stage was to retrieve all of the already scheduled MOTs into the database so garages could cancel the reminders if necessary.
Notice the nifty car registration image – I’m the first to update the image with fact that Brexit has happened (not that I think it’s a good thing!)
The second stage was to build a simple to use reminder scheduling form.
I made it foolproof and secure and of course mobile friendly too.
Now the client can provide the garages he works with a simple system to remind their customers to book in for an MOT. One of the garages does 2,000 MOTs a year so this plugin will be a time-saver and helpful customer retention tool!
